is 1500 for the ams stage 1 worth it? would it be cheaper to do it piece by piece or other mods can be added for the same effect for half the cost? what is the bigest bang for the buck mod?

Are there some overheating issues with the turbo associated with the boost pill + tune or does the bigger IC really give you that much extra HP that its worth the money even if everything else is stock?

YES! the first and best mod on the ralliart should be the intercooler with the piping!

Then get it dyno tuned there at AMS. No sense in a mail in flash if you are that close to a real tuner. Buy or have them make an axle back exhaust. Also an EVO X used stock intercooler. Skip the intake and battery. The other parts will make actual power. Get a used EVO 9 or X BOV if it is in the budget.

Here at RRE it works out like this:
Used EVO X FMIC $150-$300
Install $200
Cosworth drop in panel filter $43
Axle back exhaust $350 installed
EVO X BOV $50-$160 (used or new)
Dyno tune with pill and a new fuel pump relay $400

$1200-$1400 depending on new or used. Cheaper if you do your own labor. All to take the car from ~210 whp stock up to about 260 whp here in California on 91 octane gas.

what will be the hp on that setup with a tune?

For my setup, read my post above at the end.

For AMS's setup Stage 1 HP, talk to them :-)

yummmmm 260 i like on the stock turbo?

MikeW-RRE

Yes, at that point you are at stock EVO X WHP. Except your car actually has a trunk and makes proper U turns ;-)

To Mike W@RRE: Yeah, I notice a few months ago about turning radius on EVOs, they're horrible making U turn on two lane street.
My RA had no problem doing U turns. Is this because of wider track, right?

To vplukas101: To be most cost effective, you should have a goal for your build so you're not swaping more parts than you need to or changing setup.
Gather all the parts, Install & tune.

but for stage 1
Install Evo X FMIC which is a straight bolt-on. Evo IX or X bov. Get a boost pill & a tune.
+1 on Mike W@RRE advice.

EVO X GSR on my Dynapack makes 250-260 whp stock. An MR makes about 240-250 whp stock.

On a sad number dyno like a Mustang Dyno an X MR would be more like 220 whp. A RalliArt on a Mustang Dyno is about 190 whp.

Hi, new to the forums :)

I was thinking about upgrading to the stage 2 or 3 package, does anyone think its worth doing?

MikeRA87

Theres more then a few ralliart owners who have done the evo x turbo swap and are more then pleased with performance. Its your call on this one...it all depends on what you want for the future of the car.

I don't know what to budget, but I was looking to get the stage 3, but instead get a BBX turbocharger. I wonder what that would all include and how much total I'm looking at here.
