if you dont mind me asking mike what is boost pill and tune and how much is it? and will it remove the warranty from the car?

A boost pill is a tiny restrictor in one of the turbo wastegate hoses. You already have one in there. We swap it for one that is smaller. It allows a wider range of operation for the boost control solenoid and allows for higher boost to be programmed.

Tuning is where you change the parameters inside the ECU to allow more and safe power. MIVEC maps get better optimised, we'll lean out the air/fuel ratio a bit, run less ignition advance, raise the rev limit a bit and raise the boost.

Cost here at RRE is $400 for all that.

Typically at a meet we'd just run cars on the dyno for either stock baseline numbers or to see what power you are making with mods. Actual tuning is a bit boring.

As far as warranty, it isnt automatically voided. It depends on what all is broken and if your dealer's service department is staffed by assholes or not for the most part. Glendale Mitsu and Ventura are. SCM, HB and LB not.
