All the black is plasti-dip! I had wanted to get this paint job but my money tree died recently so I decided to try plasti-dip. I wanted to do my roof first so I combed the internet and only a couple people had tried it. I did the roof a couple weeks ago and it turned out well so I finished the rest last week.

Thanks... The roof took about 5 cans but it's four layers. The rest took 4 cans but it's only three layers.

It's scorpion I have the ARS one too (exactly the same thing only less expensive) but scorpion came in first so it got put on. Neither fit the RA so you'll have to cut it to fit.

It's just gathering dust in the garage with my wheels and spoiler :) just send me a pm. I bought a dremel and got done in like two seconds. You have to cut some serious holes in the bumper which is super scary but if you're up for it.

just be careful with the plasti dip. I would recommend you put clear coat on top of the plasti dip because dirt will get stuck on the plasti dip. It has a textured finish and thats why most people who plasti dip their rims, they turn bronze over time because brake dust gets stuck in it and you can't wash it off. Also, I know someone who did that to their hood (LOL) and he couldn't wipe bird shit off it. just giving you my two cents.

warm water & soap works for me. Never had problem washing off bird dookies off my car. I use baby wipes for dookie & it works fine.

If you gonna clear coat, you might as well paint your car.

I haven't had any bird poo on it yet but it washes dirt off fairly easily

Vinyl would be a better option for the roof. Taking it off takes abit of slowly lifting the plasti-dip so it all come up in one piece. If you do it on the roof its hard to get leverage to pull it up in one piece unless you got scaffolding around your RA. alot of work.

Thanks guys for the kind feedback... I wanted to do vinyl but the quote I got was over my budget.

Give me a day or two and I'll put up a how-to on the front bumper

The piece is just an overlay that has the evo style holes in it you have to cut the matching holes in the front bumper of the car. It's made to fit lower model lancers than the ralliart so the overlay is a little wide for our cars with the chrome piece. You have to shave down the sides. I tried to take lots of pic so I'll get them up soon :)

How did you go about blacking out the chrome ring and the middle of the lip? I've been weighing my options for a bit but if it's as easy as just taping off some sections and it's going to be durable throughout the winter I may go the plastidip route.

Mine's plasti-dip and it's held up for two months very well. I tried vinyl but I don't have any exp putting it on so it didn't really turn out. I would stay away from paint it usually chips.
