What's up all. I installed a kn replacement air filter and everytime I accelerate or give the petal some gas I hear a gush of air. Is it suppose to make that sound? I saw all sides of it in the air filter box fastened and the latches on top of the box closed with no problems.

Thats normal. Its not as restricted so it gives a BOV type sound like a swoosh sound correct?

It wouldnt hurt to take a look at the filter install one more time. It can be tricky to get the air box to fully snap together. Do your best to make sure it is fully connected at the bottom. A gap down at the bottom of the air box will make a lot of sound and more to the point, let unfiltered air in.

The filter is only suppose to give you about 5whp at max by itself, so its nothing insanely noticeable. I would assume since it gives more and cooler air flow to the rest of the drivetrain those parts would get a little more of an increase than if you were with a stock air filter.

You'll hear the whistling sound everytime you accelerate though. You can also blow through both the stock and kn air filter and notice that you can ONLY feel the air go through on the kn air filer. I got the kn oil filter too, but I haven't put it on yet.

+1. Sometimes the bottom bracket doesn't fully connect. Make sure it's lined up.

I had the dealership machanic try to snap it back together a little better than it was. He didn't unscrew anything, he just did it by hand and said it was snug tight now. I still here the air but no where near as much. So is it still suppose to make a little sound?

Hear a little sound.. yes!

None on the Ralli yet, but the ol'5.0, you could hear the motor struggle for air. K&N conies and tubes made an amazing sound from the motor.
