What are you dropped on? Also, what did you use to black out the bumper ring and the lower bumper section? Plastidip or Vinyl are what most people
use, just curious to see how you did it.

Would you ever consider going with coilovers or if you had the chance you'd buy these again?

I'm not looking to be slammed, I just want a nice safe drop while still retaining a good ride quality. I've heard coilovers actually improve the ride quality. Your the first person to mention springs being comfortable so now I'm curious if thats something I should look into.

02-03-2011, 03:41 PM
I really dont thInk it will be that bad I put my 9.5+25 on and to me it wasnt that extreme lol

GAbOS
02-03-2011, 03:43 PM
Did you drive it hard in corners or at all on the +25's?

18x9.5 +20 will = front will poke out about 2.25" and rears will poke little less then 2.25"
Inner Clearance: 6mm LESS Outer Face Position: 58mm MORE
Tires: 225/40 18 with -2 camber all around , rear rolled and pulled 10mm 235/40 18 -2.5 camber , rolled and cut the tabs in the front, -2 camber, rolled and pulled 10mm to 15mm...
***When Lowered [WILL RUB everywhere even when your stock heigh] SO ROLL THE ALL FENDERS AND PULL THE REARS!!!!!!***
***This fitment is VERY AGGRESSIVE, NEED TO rolling and flare out the rear fenders FOR SURE***

please note, the above tire used is a 225, which is what comes stock on our 7" rims stock. So you will def have that VIP look stretching those on a rim 2.5 inches wider.

By no means am I discouraging you to do this. If you do it right, it will look BA. I just don't think it will be very good for performance XD

You have to take off the front bumper to get the chrome ring out.

U dont have to take off bumper to remove chrome ring. I've done mine twice and I've never removed the bumper. Here's the walkthrough:

They look good tho.

You'll have to let us know if the coil-overs feel any different then the springs.

How and why did you get 225mm rubber to stretch across 9 inch wide rims? Why not go with 255mm rubber and get some more meat on the ground.

I'm guessing since he's going to have major rubbing issues otherwise. Just like most of the VIP guys, you have to go with major camber and skinny tires to get them to fit with huge offsets.

really 225 on a 9 isnt sh!t i have plenty of meat on the ground;) i had 225/35 on a 9.5 now that was dumb and yes to run that size with that offset you need the lil bit of a stretch you do get and now that the coilovers made it in i can kick the front in and drop it a hair more and tuck that ish

illl have pics by sat night

To me this is not VIP this is just a agressive stanced setup

I was unsure if I should have used that term, but it was the quickest way to get the point across. I'm sure that's not the genre you would prefer to be locked into. :)

Did not mean to offend if I did.
