Does this happen when your car idles? Does anyone have an explanation?

Does it do that even after it`s all warmed up?

For me that's fairly normal...that's why I warm up my car until the needle drops below 1 mark then I go..I think mike@rre told me once becaue the cmputer measures the ambient temp then the engin temp then it'll tell the car run the specific map at specific rpm...but it is running different maps till rpm drops and engin warms up...

Thanks a lot Rallinurse. Thats the closest I have gotten to an explanation as to why it idles the way it does. I was kind of nervous that there might be something wrong with the car.

Quick question does it have an aftermarket intake such as ultimate racing or ams not just a replacement drop in panel filter? Because this was discover to be the reason for my weird idle with my ams one because when the fans kicked on it was pushing extra air into the intake. Just a thought but might not be helpful if you don't have an intake lol

Becareful with intakes...if the maf housing is too close to the cone...it'll def confuse the sensor...bcuz the air sensor is telling the cpu how much fuel it needs to match the air coming in...if maf housing too close to cone ...u might run too rich then it should...for our uber tiny turbo intake is not really necessary...that's why I didn't go with intake...just a drop in

It's cool...this is the same w/my 01 civic...at first I though the same that something is wrong with the engne...but after awhile I just learn to ignore it...but thanks to mike...he gave a lil more tech details about it...

Dude, just like we've said on evolutionm.net, it's normal. Yes, I was worried at first but it's normal. I'm going to remove that vid from youtube anyway.

Yes, that's the thread I started about it. Again, IT'S NORMAL.
