I have it on good authority that only certain sizes will fit without rubbing and the wheel size is not as wide as many would prefer to have.

Who's planning on ordering some of the gunmetal wheels from Japan? I've seen these in person and they are awesome on white.

I know they are very popular, but I always think they look like they have brake dust on them and dirty, so I'd prefer the ones that come on the car already.

The 18X7" factory wheel size is tight so running any wider of a tire is a problem. Looks like everyone is going to be stuck with the 215/45R18 size unless willing to change to a wider rim and better offset. You can also look at a higher speed rated summer tire to help with overall performance. I do wish the US market had the darker wheel color option. I hope its available next model year.

I saw a Lancer with these gunmetal wheels at a dealership, it was a used 2008 lancer, I think a GTS. but it was honesty in poor shape from what I saw, the gunmetal paint was peeling already due to curb rash areas, and it appeared to be silver below. Maybe the previous owner had his wheels painted? but they sure looked like oem gunmetal rims.

The stock rim will hold 225/45R18; however, it is advisable to go with aftermarket rims just based on weight alone. Each stock rim and tire weighs ~48 pounds!
If you want to go 235, you will need to move to an 8" wide rim. Anything wider than 235 will require you to roll your fenders.
