I'm in Canada.
I photoshopped out my license plate, and dealer stickers.
Just a little cautious, I hope you understand.
I am not planning any power mods quite yet.
I am waiting to see how the SST holds up to other's tinkering, and how the SST itself can be hacked.
So far, I got it up to 160 kph [on my first drive], but I ran out of good pavement.
Brought an officer with me, so no biggie.
It was smooth, and wanted more.
Tourist season is on right now, so it is hard to open it up, with so many Americans who block both the slow and fast lanes with their RVs and fifth wheels, then drive 80 in a 90 kph zone.
We shall see how the Ralliart fares on the ice road...
I bought the Sportback to replace my 2005 Outlander.
Which was a lot of fun, and would be a great second car or winter car--a sleeper to rod, with lots of room under the hood, and the same Lancer chassis/engines.
I assumed that there would be no Evo Sportback, due to bracing issues--so I bought the first Ralliart Sportback on the lot.
The Sportback can fit my big cooler easy, the one that holds 100 cans of beer.
Only real complaints are this:
1. Interior door handle plastic is soft, and scratches very easily.
2. Black/Grey smoke when I gun it, without letting the engine warm up.
3. Some high teenage douche on a skateboard took a chunk out of my paint job on the first day--but this is fine, as I faked him out, and he nearly got run over by an SUV--ahh natural selection.
4. I am going to wear out those Recaros.
I am currently fence-sitting, in regards to a stereo upgrade.
I am well aware of the Scosche kits, and wiring harnesses, as I was an installer for a few years, but I want to see how liveable the stock stereo is for now.
Later.
