Hey guys,

For development reasons I am looking for a SST TCU.

*It can even be a bad one with a bad temp sensor*

Please PM if you have have a TCU like this available or information about one.

This will benefit every SST enthusiast!

A SST flash would be most excellent! Is it almost finished? ...I mean you've had a solid 45 minutes... :)

If the Squirrel was in the tree he hit, then yes, he hit a squirrel.

MTZL, I highly doubt he has access to the car anymore. It was the first thing I thought of too.

Bumping this to post data.

We *REALLY* need S-Sport in our RA's.

Huge difference in clutch pressure from SPORT to S-SPORT:

Even after some tweaks, the differences are still huge:

Yes, I get wayyy better mpg on my civic. :p:D
Plus its got K20 (which is 2.0L Honda Motor) I planned to go 2.4L bottom block from Honda CR-V for additional torque. I have seen Civic AWD with 4G Evo parts.

but Im keeping my RA. ;)

That is an awesome offer for all of us! Not trying to burst your bubble, but isn't the TCU inside the tranny? As in it needs to be removed and taken apart?

TrailBrake
11-19-2011, 02:45 AM
Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but I recall seeing a diagram showing the the TCU attached to the outside of the tranny.

MTZL

Yes TCU is in the oil pan. Which will need the rebuilt kit for gasket & special goo gasket type (which you will have to extra caution not to block any other passage).

I sure hope NFSLancerRA (Eric) comes thru with his TCU.

Specialty tools/Gasket parts are expensive. :(

Nomenclature used in diagram is (Mechatronic = TCU)
& A whole bunch of Seal Guide that are necessary for re-install.
Gaskets may/would need replacement.

Interesting - I've seen that panel before when under the car.

So, does that mean the TCU is submersed in liquid gold? Meaning if you want to upgrade it, you will need to drain the trans fluid? If so, someone should come up with some Star Trek scanner tool to send the info through the case...

I know I know excuses...
My civic got more issues than I thought.

I may have to get a rental for the length of the R&D on SST TCU.

So Bryan, how long do you need this thing?
Do you have the misc gaskets & re-intall parts?

Will the TCU survive the R&D? I remember you was looking for broken TCU.

MTZL
11-23-2011, 09:59 AM

I told you to stay away from that squirrel & that it will kill your RA. :(
