[Ralliart Down Under]

Hi, every one I brought my RA lancer about a month ago and love it, had 2004 Lancer before. Thought I would add a Australian connection to the forum. I drive my RA work each day, the only mods I have done is fitted a Ralliart/Evo sports air filter to help it breath better and a Ralliart oil cap.
The Australian versions seem much the same as the US except we never got the Recaro seat options also the Sportsback has been on sale here since last year .

congrats and welcome!! i saw some of those ralliart oil caps going for like 80+ on ebay :P did you get a sunroof with your RA tho>?

No sun roof, there is the option but it costs almost $3500 extra here so i have the upgraded stereo option with the sub in the boot, my last Lancer had a sun roof but there was a bit of wind noise when driving on the highway so was a bit put off by that, the car had it's first service today a little early but had the hard starting problem which seems to be the smart key so they reprogrammed it so hope that is fixed,
Not sure what will be the next change to the car maybe replace the factory tires as they are not all that good under heavy braking, and then look at the exhaust and BOV maybe.

^^ You don't want a sunroof anyway, it puts roughly 35 pounds where you least want it, high in the car raising the center of gravity upward. A RA without it WILL handle better.

Well today we added a second Ralliart to our family my son brought a Sports back today in Blue well that's good for me, now he wont be asking if he can borrow mine all the time

Hey fellow Aussie!
I picked mine up just over a month ago and just LOVE it! I'm a rep and am on the road all the time, so I'm loving driving it (have clocked up 3000km already!)

Getting lots of looks, and had my dream drag at the lights with a new WRX and won. We had a bit of fun playing leap frog. We left with a mutual respect nod and a smile. Fun!

psytrix, buy a k&n permanent cottin mesh air filter from repco, it never needs replacing and u can really hear the BOV working, its cool.:cool:
