From a recent email I got from MMNA...

"Mitsubishi" literally means "three diamonds" in Japanese. Each diamond in our logo represents one of our three guiding principles.

◊ Shoki Hoko or Corporate Responsibility to Society

◊ Shoji Komei or Integrity and Fairness

◊ Ritsugyo Boeki or Global Understanding Through Business

I don't know about their interpretations of what each diamond means, but I loved finding out what the name Mitsubishi stands for. Sort of like how Subaru translates to Pleiades, a star cluster visible in northern skies, also known as The Seven Sisters.

Funny... I just got the same email. Also enjoyed the trailer with the extra EvoX footage. I'd see that movie just for the Evo... and the chick of course! ;)

Why is this thread called DSM?

DSM is not mitsubishi, It's Diamond Star Motors, which was not just Mitsubishi. ;)

For those who were wondering, the Chrysler symbol is a "Star". Hence, Diamond-Star Motors.

True, but those that have been around for a while, usually associate DSM with eclipse.

Should I have called it Tri-Star motors? :D

I was really just lazy and looking for a short title...
