235-40-18 on Stock RA Rims

It seems that the Calculator put the above size closest to the OEM's 215-45-18.

Does anyone uses the 235-40-18 size on the stock RA Rims?

You might be able to, but you'll have a lot of extra sidewall hanging over the rim.

235 is a bit wide for the stock rims. I don't know if there are too many people that go over 225 on stock rims. However- I was under the impression that 245/40-18 is the closest to stock dia. @ +0.40% diameter of stock. You'd probably want an offset of ~30-35... obviously aftermarket wheels are needed. And probably some rolling...

Actually a 245-40-18 is even closer to the stock rolling diameter, but to answer your question, No it will not fit. You may get someone that will try to squeeze it on there, but a 235-40-18 has a rim width recommendation between 8-9.5" wide.

I'm running 225/45R18XL at stock height and they are fine with clearance. It is very close to the OEM size...

Just so you know, this is exactly what I did on my stock rims. Another thing this allows you to do is to transition to an 8.5" wide wheel, say an Evo X wheel if a cheap set presents themselves, without having to buy new tires. You are pushing it putting a 225 on an Evo X 8.5" wide wheel, but it will work fine until time to buy tires again. I went from stock tires/wheels to 225 tires on stock wheels to the same 225s on Evo X wheels before going up to my 19's.
