I never noticed it before, but today I my ipod for my iphone and it started buzzing later when I unplugged the iphone. I can't remember, but I think I remember putting it in aux before and there was no buzzing. I've had my ipod plugged in since I drove it off the lot until today. Tried turning the car off and on with nothing plugged into the aux, but it's still there. As soon as I plug something in like ipod/iphone it goes away. Just wondering if it's normal or if I'm just crazy for not hearing it before.

The buzz you hear is from your 3.5mm jack and having nothing plugged into it with AUX mode select on your radio with your volume up.

Avoid selecting Aux with nothing attached to it.

Connect your Aux first to your ipod/iphone/mp3 etc. before selecting Aux mode on your radio.

That's what I figured.

The buzzing sound you hearing is coming from the electrical system on the car. When you have a plug like that it will pick up stray electrical noise and transmit it over the speakers. When you plug it into the ipod/iphone it will ground the connection and stop the buzzing.

Try unplugging the ipod but leave the jack in, set to AUX and crank the volume to 30-35, then hit the door locks or windows and you will hear clicking from the electric motors kicking on/off.

Fun with electrical currents!

Hehehe... Yeah I got scared half to death when I first got the car by the Bluetooth system. I was driving on a lonely road enjoying the experience and at volume 40 I get "YOU HAVE AN INCOMING CALL!!!!". ever since then I just learned to turn the volume down right when the call is ending which solves that irritating beep and getting blasted when a new call comes in.

Yup I just turn mine down too. I still forget every once in a while. The incoming calls still scare me when I'm really jamming out with the volume at 45. I don't recall seeing anything in the manual to adjust it though.
