Anyone into the Forza Motorsport series? I'm eagerly anticipating the next entry into the series, which will be released at the end of October, and was wondering if anyone else shared an interest. Hell, I still play Forza 2, and that's pretty amazing for a 2+ year old game. If anyone wants to add me on Live, my gamertag is Prototype012.

Yeah, when Forza 2 came out, I played it to the point of obsession, and then it started to fade. I actually have more fun staying below S-Class, because at a certain point, it comes down to who has the most horsepower. When my friends and I play, we pick a class, set up a few cars in that class, and leave it to skill. I can't wait to see what all they have done to make one of the best racing games out even better.

Picked it up yesterday. I have to say, the game was well worth the wait. Not that far into it, but so far it exceeds Forza 2 in every aspect.

I searched for and bought the Special Edition for Forza 2 also. It included and cool book with all of the cars and a special cardownload. I haven't even openned my Forza3 yet. I need to hook up my XBOX again. I don't even remember my call sign...it's been so long.

The limited edition came with a Forza keychain, 2 GB flash drive (which I threw a nice driving soundtrack on), a few extra cars, and VIP status in the auction house and multiplayer (a crown shows up by your name. The game is great!

I'd like to know too. I'm guessing either a ford Fiesta or Focus - I'm leaning more towards an overseas version of the Focus though. The headlights don't quite match either one though unless that is a product of the game engine...

2009 Ford Focus RS. Sold in Europe only, and it's too bad because it's an awesome car. 300hp/300tq, 2 door hatchback.

They had a couple teams running the Ford Fiesta's at the X Games Rally event this past summer. If the Focus is anything like the Fiesta's I'd believe! They were crackling, snorting and spitting dirt like you wouldn't believe!

I watched it, those Fiesta's were ridiculous! But if those were sold in the states, they would be econo-cars. The Fiesta was my starter car in Forza 3 and, let's just say I got bored with it really quick. If I were to have done a drivetrain conversion to AWD and added about 200hp, it might have been a fun car. Maybe I'll still have to do that...hmm...

I remember paying $250 for the seat afew years back. Its Ultimate Gaming Chair Product. It vibrate with the game!
(Was the best with GT2 on PS2 with Logitech wheel til Forza 2 came out. Now forza 3! it just doesnt feel right playing with the regular controller.)

You should use real car seats imo from junk yard thats reasonable like $20-40. if DIY.
Cause its not worth $250 for that UGC imo. add $99 for Vib from UGC if thats your thing.

WHEEL & PEDAL
Got the Wheel & Pedal from my GF on that follow Christmas.
Never had the whole setup so wheel & pedal just collected dust for awhile.
I think you should be able to get one used for $20-40 Wheel & Pedal.
I tried to sell it back to Gamestop afew year back they wouldnt even buy it back! lol So I was stuck with it collect dust.

so I decided instead of spending too much money work with a budget $40-80.
all parts came out to 68.14 with tax frm Home Depot. some parts are going back thats worth about $16. so approx 52.14 for the racing table I had built.

I took some pics during the build all parts necessary & my limited tools.

Im pretty amazed at myself I just told myself stop being lazy & do something.
Since everything you do now a day cost some kind of money, I set myself budget to build this thing didnt really have a plan.

So I go to my cars (00 Honda Civic & 09 Ralliart) measured

-from floor to the bottom of the wheel & top. (18 Bottom 31 top)
-from gas pedal to the edge of the wheel (18-20")
-the width of the leg & knee room (20-22")

I did measure from pedal to the seat but that irrelevant cause you can move the seat back for taller people move the seat closer for shorter people.
Thats how a real car seats work.

Now these are actual measurement from my seating position in my real cars.

I start to vision it drew a sketch of it & went to Home Depot.

1 x 27x48" approx The board I used was I think 3 or 4 ply as a base.
1 x 2x4 Wood- cut to
2 x 18" &
2 x 24" (Although 24" is a little too tall should be around 18-21" @ an angle cause the wheel is at an angle)

4 x Metal Support brackets *dont know what its actually called* (only needed 2)
4 x Smaller Brackets

so these are for Pedal Board, where the pedal rests.

1" screw to secure Pedal Board to 4 x 12" small wood blocks Boarders. I did it with the Pedal on the Pedal board so it snug fit.

Graphics suck compared to Forza, the vehicle engine sounds are completely unrealistic, and the driving physics are too much of a pain in the ass, and I've been a GT fan for the first four games.

Sorry, but when a Toyota Yaris sounds like a V8 in the game, that's a major turn-off.

If GT5 had realistic damage I would like it alot better.
I have seen GT5 car hit the wall & kept going like nothing happened.
You can hit a wall at 100mph & keep going kinda turn me off.

Afew things I like about GT5 you can make your own tracks.
Night driving, Head lights & taillights in the dark looks pretty amazing.
Driving in wet condition like rain. Smoke looks better on GT5.

Driving feels even though I have been a fan of all racing games & GT player for a long time, I just dont feel the connected with the game.
I feel more connected with forza4.

I dont remember doing a engine swap in GT5 or drive-train mod (fwd to rwd or awd)

In the end most games doesnt have it all.

I like all racing sim (somewhat of a sim)

I like all of forza4 track replica better than gt5. although they look similar,
forza4 took extra man power/hr to scan the tracks they put into the game.

Reason why I choose forza is more work went into it but lacks of certain things.

Forza4 has made alot of improvements but still need more improvements, IMO.
-Not being able to make your own track kinda make me sad.
-Cant make your own body kit...
-Cant put decals on windows.
-No rain...
-No bellowing smoke..
-No night driving..

-Another thing about forza4 steering animation when you're in the cockpit view kinda sucks, wish it had more animation to your steering input style chosen.
(shuffle, 9-3, 12, 6, unorthodox)


Overall I still love the game.
If I had PS3 I would have bought GT5 too.
I only played at my friend.
The time I play it, it wasnt bad but it wasnt what I consider driving simulator with no damage.
