Man... how much does it cost to have all of this installed? If I end up going down the X turbo road, I might have to make a trip to the folks up at CBRD.

I didn't see somthing that would connect our air intake to an X turbo.

If I went this route since you would have to probably goes with small battery kit or relocate said battery anyway I would just buy the AEM intake kit for the Evo X since you are going to have to buy a new intake anyway.
It only costs 300 from Mitsubishiparts.net and it includes inlet outlet and the recomended parts. You gotta put the code in for 10% off at check out

Is this better stuff than OEM?

Well everyone is going to have a different opinion on this, my 2 cents says it is a name brand engineered setup which pushes a greater volume of air through is less amount of time is complete bolt in coming with all necessary pieces and isolates the incoming cool air from the heat of the engine compartment and is a very clean looking and easy to maintain setup. I haven't seen a better looking practical, function cost effective solution than this, but if you have please let us all know.

that's what I've been friggen nagging at people to do on evom instead of busting their nuts over the stupid RAD. this shit isn't expensive - it's just lines and gaskets. you get all the expensive major stuff used for stupid cheap from X owners
at least MAP will make money off this because people are just too lazy to shop around
If you're going to either go through the trouble or pay the labor, it makes no sense to cheap out ~$300 for the puny TD04 frame

I got more clarification from Adam at MAP, he said that they'll be offering this kit until Mitsubishi goes out of business, so it looks like it's here to stay and not a limited run.

I have to agree 100% on this. After having done a fp ralliart turbo and now a fp red, I would have went straight to an Evo x turbo from the jump. Lessons learned.
