im not sure which is the best between

1- continental extreme contact DW
2- khumo ecsta SPT

.... and for the difference of price... 116 $ each for Khumo and 166 $ each for continental!

i heard that continental is a bit better but for the price is this a good deal?

N.B I'm not doing drag nether lapping

I have the Continental DWS's, great tire. The sidewalls are a bit soft but it's a comfortable ride in any weather condition.

i thought both of them were summer tire...

and for Bravozero and rallitart00 i talked about the DW not the DWS... i'm looking for summer tire thats why i didn't talk of the DWS

Tirerack.com shows spt being a UH summer prformance...
The 4X being UH Allseason...the 4X is new replacement of ASX..
Conti DW is UH performance summer...I've heard great thing about conti dw's...either way both r great choices...

Hankook evos is pretty decent too...

thats why i hesitate to pay 50$ more per tire for the conti even if they a bit better...this is a 200 $ that i can put on something else like an SRI.

DWS for wet/warm climates. Kumho for colder weather. The DWS is more towards 'Summer' in tread design; Kumhos look better for 'Dirt' and have a higher tread wear. Both are very predictable. It's a toss up to drive style and net fluff. You will eat through the Conti DWS faster.

Continental Contisport Contact 3s. AWESOME TIRES. I would love to have a good summer tire but in Virginia summer tires have to come off in winter. Might as well just get a tire that can do everything.

I just picked up the Conti ExtremeContact DW in 225/40 size on stock rims. Dry grip is excellent for a tire with a wear rating of 340.

Keep me posted on those tires, they might be my summer tire replacement to the DWS. How's the sidewall on those, are they super soft like the DWS?

In the 225/40 R18 size, the DW is only available with XL (extra load), so the sidewalls are plenty stiff. If you are ordering a different size, make sure it's XL.

Richmond.

And yeah i have noticed the DWS side walls are spongey. But it is whatever they have a 540 tread rating and they have really good grip.
