Okay so I orders these, should be here on May 12th only question is I got 245/45/18 tires, will the extra 5 on the profile make a big difference? Will I rub on the fronts? Rear fenders will be rolled.

Need more details on your setup. Are you lowered? Springs or coilovers? Stock height?

Any reason why you'd want 245/45 tires? The proper size should be 245/40, you're going to have a big impact on revs per mile and speedometer readings, not to mention the sidewall will be thicker. Not by much, but it'll make a difference.

I'm lowered on tein s techs, and I only got the bigger profile because I got bridgestone re050a pole positions for $500 off Craigslist brand new

And what do you mean by revs per minute and speedometer readings?

Using an online wheel/tire size calculator:

245/40-18 | 18x8.5 et38(OEM)- 784.9 revs per mile, 60mph is 60mph since this is the standard EvoX size

245/45-18 | 18x8.5 et30- 757.1 revs per mile, 60 mph speedo reading will actually be 62.2 mph vehicle speed, which is 3.7% faster. Package will stick out 8 mm (0.3'') farther.

Keep in mind, all three Lancer wheel sizes (205/60-16, 215/45-18, 245/40-18) all rotate about the same, so each car is compatible with those three tire/wheel sizes without change in speedo readings. Any other tire/wheel sizes other than those three will throw the speedo off, either slower or faster.

The only code you'll throw is the low tire pressure light if you don't install the TPMS sensors in the new wheels.

Being lowered on Teins, I think u will have issues with rubbing, 245/45 is allot of tire.

You won't get codes or break anything. You'll just have inaccurate speedometer, odometer, and MPG readings.

The Speedo will read slower than actual so you'll find yourself creeping past people when trying to go the speed limit or exactly 5 or 10 over like everyone else.

Mostly, it's just going to be mildly annoying and you'll get used to it. If it really bothers you, most GPS units and smartphones can display your speed using GPS.
