I just wanted to know, what kind of coverage and how much everybody is paying for their insurance?

I just got a call from my insurance company and they told me that the had quoted me too low and that I got a special engine!!?!?! They want double the rate now! It went from 150/mo to 300/mo. Time to shop for new insurance.

i know other people have had this same problem, when the insurance companies find out and catch on. i should be finally picking up mine by the end of the month. so i have been looking around on-line getting quotes. depending on your coverage i found mercury is the cheapest.. they told me around 125. that is with full coverage (- towing, roadside ast)

i am sure you all ready know put a lot has to do with age driving record, the city you live in etc......

Go through Geico, and do it online so you dont have to mess with any idiots on the phone or in person. My coverage is around $60 a month.

Geico quoted me $180/mo I think it was $240 the first month too.
25/50 Comp & Collision, Roadside, Uninsured Mofo, Rental Reimbursement.
Im 28. Maybe I just gotta keep adjusting the info to get better quote.

I was with American Family ins. for 5+ years. My rate just went up for no apparent reason. The new rate was $170 for $100K/$300K/$100K and full uninsured/underinsured with $1000 deductible.

I went to progressive, and for the same exact coverage I only pay $80 a month. But now I just pay the full bill every 6mo, not monthly.

**EDIT: Progressive lumps ALL LANCERS into one category. it does not differentiate between the base econobox-09 Ralliart-EvoX - I specifically asked them about this because there was no way to pick "Ralliart and EvoX" on their site, just an '09 Lancer so I had to call them directly and thats when they told me this, I was amazed.

They just lost a customer, I can't believe they would raise my rates in this time and age when they should be lowering them... idiots.

So, shop around.

I just got my notice from Mercury the other day but haven't opened it. When I get home tonight, I'll check it and let you guys know what they say. I was insuring a WRX through them before, so I wouldn't expect it to be more than what I was paying for the Rex.

I just went to progressive, they actually have all the Lancers DE/ES/GTS and EVO GSR and MR, no Ralliart! The only Ralliart I saw was Galant Ralliart.

80$ a month! Im getting ripped-off! Low coverage and High Premium. Not Cool!

That's about $100 less a year than what I am paying now, which I consider to be a pretty good deal. Congrats!

$111/month full coverage, and that includes depreciation coverage, ie: if I write my car off in 18 months (god forbid), I get full *brand new* replacement value, not what the car is worth at time of said write off.

My previous car was a shitbox Pontiac G5, and my RA insurance is only 19 bucks more a month. Crazy.

State Farm. I've dealt with them for years, and have my other cars insured with them, so I guess I got a good rate.
