For those in the greater Toronto area interested in learning how to drive safely on the track, or for those more experienced looking for well organized and safe lapping time (which is not the norm unfortunately), I highly recommend the following:

Ian Law's Car control school:

As well, for those looking for just lapping in a safe environment, check out the following:

From my experience, not all track days are not created equal. Cheap track time tends to lend itself to large run groups populated by kids in Hondas that think they can drive fast. You end up with little space and the high chance of getting hit.

Pay more and get a smaller run group of people that actually care about their driving technique, and their vehicles.

Sounds good :)

The links for Ian Law and ClubOneTwoNine show their schedules for the year.

I have affiliation to either, I just like how they run their days.

You have managed to take the car out on the track?

Yes, so far I have done 4 "Driver's Education" days (ie. non-timed track time) in the RA.

I will probably do another 2-3 days this year including one in the winter at Cayuga.
