Ya the rims are painted with plastidip. They turned out great. Over the past few months I only had a couple of touch ups:). As for the mods not to many. Here is a list of the mods so far. Plastidip rims, 25% tint all around, Evo x intercooler with RALLIART painted on it, Evo x upper and lower powder coated IC piping. Today I am experimenting with plastidip on the body of the car. Best part about it is if I don't like it I can just peel it off.:D

I really like the black rims on the RA, It looks way better IMO.

Tints looks great with the rims and on RA in general. Law in California and especially Bay Area sucks about the tint. I've gotten an ticket for tinted windows. Front windows can not be tinted at all.

Evo x intercooler with RALLIART painted on it, Evo x upper and lower powder coated IC piping.

You should definately get it dyno tuned. You r setup for EVO X Turbo and BOV. Nice!

 I dont know but if its peels off without scratching Thats cool!

Keep it posted! Since we all gotta learn from each other.:D Cheers!

oH YEAH. More pics of the paint please.

It is illegal in alberta too but it looks way to good for me to care! I already got a ticket for it but no big deal most cops are pretty cool about it.

I have peeled it off my rims before with no scratching and no problems it peels off clean and leaves no residue. Trust me it is the safest way to have fun experimenting with your car!!!

OK here is a picture of the car with the plastidip hood roof and spoiler. I think it turned out pretty good. I know you can see some spray marks but that will fade in with a week or too in the sun!:D

oh my. that does look sick! I was looking at plastidip ( www.plastidip.com ) site since I hadn't heard of them before and found they have lots of different types of products. Would you mind posting which one you used?

Also, would you mind elaborating on prep, application, etc.?

I did notice that it is only rated to 200 degrees F. What happens when you get the wheels really hot? I know they must generate temps close to or above that when subjected to harsh braking. What has been your experience?

I used the plastidip spray bomb. Prep was really easy simply tape off the area that you want painted. Take some isopropynol and wipe down the surface are that you are going to paint, this gets rid of any waxes or dirt. (don't worry it won't hurt your paint at all!) Then spray the area you want painted same way that you would spray with a regular spray bomb.

As for the wheels no major problems as of yet. I am not to sure what temp my wheels get to but the plastidip is doing just fine. The only problem I have had is going through an automatic car wash (the ones with the brushes) They use a heavy duty degreaser on your wheels and that started to wear away at the plastidip. But it was an easy fix just sprayed over the effected areas and back to normal.

Thanks for the info! I will give it a shot most likely.

I used the plastidip spray bomb. One more question - about how many cans did you order/use for the wheels?
