Not sure if this is the proper forum or not. I wasn't sure where mud flaps fit. But given that they are physically close to wheels, suspension, and braking, I figured I'd post here.

So, Rally Armor flaps seem to be the way to go. But everything I find says they don't fit the Sportback. Can anyone clarify? Do they fit with minor mods? Is there a reasonable alternative?

Just get the basic universal ones and make your own mounting points.
Just drill holes where the push clips for the fender liner are and make extra mounting points if needed for wheel clearance.

These are the same ones I have on my RA sedan and they're holding up great.
They've been on there for over a year; I've had no issues and they haven't faded at all.

i bought the lancer one for my sportback and they fit fine, you just have to drill two holes for the rear flaps.

why are those mud flaps 16 bucks but the "specific" flaps for the evo X are 130-140??

It looks like that set for $15 is the same material, but it's just the 4 mud flaps, with no cutouts or mounting holes. The mounting hardware is also not included. However all you really need is about 12 appropriate screws some rubber washers and a drill to make the mount holes.

I got the evo x flaps to fit on my '11 RA sportback, but they definately dont sit quite as flush as the subaru ones my friend put on. Reason being there's some cutouts for the inner fender liners that must be diffrent on the ralliart than the evos, possibly due to the fender vents. So I had to shave a little bit of poly out and then drilled a new mount point for the screws.

So, you are saying it is worth it to get the 15$ flaps and just mount them yourself?
