Im convinced he was working for some sort of intelligence agency. He passed away 5yrs ago...

Scopolamine use is pretty common, in my area. It is for that reason that Angel Trumpet trees are illegal to have in your front yard in the state of Florida. Often, they are removed by government vehicles without any warning when they are found to exist. The truth of the matter is that 1 in 12 people die from use of the drug. I have heard the effects described to me. It is no different than a really intense dosage of Sodium-Pentothal. However, the effects are more similar to 2C-I or LSD.
Bottom line: There is an entire class of drugs called "Truth Serums". Do they work? Not really. I used to work for the DoD in a psychology laboratory. There is a lot that most people aren't allowed to know. Experimental investigation techniques are far more advanced than drugs, which were used by the Chinese in WWII.

I work for the government and am a researcher in a top-tier psychology laboratory. This is not going on. I read the papers and reports coming out of some of the governments' psychological facilities. There is nothing this advanced out in the field. The best that we can come up with is high frequency and intensity acoustics. There is no brown noise. Humans are not the descendants of some curious alien race. A lot of covert technology is actually pretty unimpressive. A lot of it is confidential so that the government doesn't have to report the cost to congress.

Suggestive influence and mind control are two different things. That is actually the problem with interrogation. Go at a subject long enough, and they will tell you exactly what you want to hear. Whether it is the truth or not is a different matter, entirely. The one thing that people may or may not be shocked to discover is that lie detection software is now pretty insane (by that I mean crazy accurate). It is no longer done with voice inflection recognition software. Facial scanning is alive and well. The best part is that it can be done without a subject knowing. Hell, I helped write some of the software that is being tested in Central Florida. That I cannot give an explanation for how it works. The apparatus is cheap and discrete, though. You can thank me later for that one during your next airport strip search. (Not really)

So, I guess that I would conclude my remarks in this thread by making this claim:
Back to the original topic, mind control is not what you need to worry about. Instead, emerging fields are looking at thought perception. There is a good reason for that, too. Psychology and many other related fields (Neuroscience) too often rely on self-report data. We are actively looking for a way to remove subjectivity from psychological research. There are many potential ways to do this. Unfortunately, there are many horrifying unintended applications for this technology. As of now, we can perceive potential muscle movements within the brain (general body movement sensing). We can also tell when you are not telling the truth. More complex patterns of thought might still be a ways off, but that is where we are headed. Once that happens, we are all screwed.

I am past the stage of my life where magic is possible. I am affirming your rightful position of skepticism and anxiety towards new fields within medicine and psychology. There is some pretty crazy stuff going on. I love UFO stories and tales of the strange and unusual. I just don't pay much attention to that, anymore. Mind control is not currently possible. Thought perception is coming down the pike. I have seen how it is supposed to work, and I can tell you that a framework for future research is in place.
We had did some work for high tech company sub contracted by our government, which Im not allowed to say.
I can tell you technology is far more advanced than you think.
Behavioral monitoring systems that ties in with something like google smart glasses that display all kinds of info about the person in front of you.
Stress level, facial expression detection, tone of voice, body language, & many others that make my head spin.
We all only know what we are told.
In this day & age, especially with secret technologies, no one company is going to get the contract to do the job from beginning to the end.
Some work the beginning, some work the middle, some work the ends.

Body armors were on the ground approx. 15-20ft away from alleged suspect's car, looks like someone was in a hurry to take the armor off running away.
