Hi all, just had a few questions here about painting my trunk badges. I'm thinking doing them in black chrome would go nicely with the white colour of my car. If i were to heat them up and unstick them is it fairly easy to stick them back on and get them in the correct position again? Or would I be better off just masking around them and taping off the whole back section of my car to prevent any damage to the surrounding paint. Thanks for any helpful advice. :)

I would mask the area to mark each badge so you know where to stick 'em back on.

You can use wd40 & fishing line to floss the badge off.
Get Scratch FX to get rid scratches.

Use wd40 to soak the residue & patiently use your nail to remove the residue.

Scratch FX will come in handy after you're done removing the residues.

Good luck.

Thanks, I assume double sided tape to stick them back on?

Yep. 3M heavy duty outdoor kind. Trim to shape.

^This. Be sure to scuff up your badges, and clean them really well before painting. If you want to be extra sure, get some adhesion promoter.
