Downside to the basics is theres no dampening adjustment or mounts so you have to reuse the oem mounts. If you're on a budget look into the BC's.

Yeah KWs are pricy, but I have em on my MS6, and they have a lifetime warranty..

I do alot of fender rolls, and BCs seem too stiff for a DD.. KWs are fairly smooth.

theyve been ordered as of now...

You prob wanna go more? But, it's a fairly non scientific type deal, you go til you stop rubbing, mine are almost flat maybe 80% of the way and I can fit a 245 on my EVO 9 BBS.. Id need a little more to run my re01 255s but, they would make this car suck anyways.. You don't need more than 235s for a DD setup. You'll just get more understeer.

In 6 months I've had at least 5 sets of rims and tires for the RA so far.. my good year 235s are the best for the RA so far.. Others just add weight, and understeer.. I do fender rolls on evos once a week, and get complaints all day long about the understeer factor from adding wider tires.. Pop some 255s on then go back, you'll see..

Get a proper alignment and suspension setup and you will disagree. More negative camber in the front and less in the rear would be a very good start.

Yeah I've got all that stuff on my track car, the ms6.. Those wheels(255 re01s) are fine on the more powerful, larger speed6.. But, on my RA I'm betting 235-245 will be a practical max... The weight and drag of a stickier 255 is pretty detrimental to the lighter OEM RA setup..

And my KWs just showed today! So cheap OEM suspension, will be a thing of the past.. Now I've V2s on both rides!!

I saw a post on the tien coilovers here saying they were not good for track use:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/9507124-post2.html

is that true? or are they referring to the non flex version?

If anything I thought the EDFC was a great convenient idea I was hoping to get in the future. So, what do you guys recommend?

Yeah, I agree. Having driven 215, 245, and the now current 265's, I'd say 255's are the sweet spot for these cars.
The only "negative" aspect to wider tires, is they tend to pull on the highway. But for cornering purposes, if people think the 235 is better, they just aren't going fast enough :p
Yes skinny tires are easier to dance around on, but they become dangerously unstable at higher speeds (ask me how I know). If all you want to do is DD, sure 235-245.....but then why buy a budget track car

Interesting suspension system but it is still in development. It might cost more than the car.
