Recall: AWC Reflash

I haven't checked this forum for a long time....I searched but didn't find any info on this new recall....

I brought my Ralliart in for the fuel return line recall today and the dealer said there is another open recall on AWC reflash which they said would improve shifting performance? I asked if it would improve the fuel mileage and they said yes. Anyone got this done and noticed an improvement their gas mileage? I got it done today and my 30miles travel back had about the same MPG (~19mpg)....

That's the first I've heard of it improving mileage. Most of the people on these boards aren't going to have had that flash since it seems to be reserved for colder climates.
