I just got set of gsr wheels today for my silver ra. Should i paint them brown or gun metal gray. I saw some photos with gunmetal gray, but i cant find any brown ones. I also have set of almost new 235/45/18 which i used on my oem wheels. Will they fit? I am lowered with swifts. Thanks

I have a set of evo MR wheels and they fit with the same size tire as you mentioned but the offset of the MR wheels and the GSR wheels will cause rubbing if your running a lower setup. My advice to you is get your fenders rolled. I think with the EVO wheels and their offset you can only lower the car 1-1.5 inches with out having rub issues. I could be wrong. Oh and gunmetal color FTW!

I forgot to mention I alredy rolled the rear fender. Do you think I need rear spacers?

are you talking about hub spacers? cause if so the answer is no it will bolt right up!

If I would install 10mm spacers it would eliminate the risk of the tire coming in contact with inner fender. What do you think?8

I've made this setup work on countless mazdas as well as the RA, you'll need a decent amount of roll, do it well mostly, as a precaution or for your next wheels... and you'll def need to grind your bumper tabs, even more if you're running 245s...

Also you get more rear clearance on the RA wagon than the RA sedan, which is slightly offset by the larger bumper tabs they use on the wagon...

look I am not Sheldon Cooper I have GED. I read this thing and according to it I should be fine my fenders are rolled all as far as possible however this thing only mentions 225/45 not 235/45 and I don't want to get rid of almost new set of tires.

I didn't know your tire size, so I gave you a list.

235 will fit with most rims you have.

For myself, Im looking at 18x9.5 with 255 on the ralliart. I'm going to have one hell of a time making it fit. So I going to get after market coilovers to put as much negative camber as possible, to avoid the rub even after rolling.

Crak, Unless your pushing serious power which makes you lose traction, I don't see any advantage to running 255s.. This car is prob optimal at 235(IMO) I've got for my track car some BBS W/255s, that setup on the RA just adds understeer and wheel weight issues.. Then adding alot of camber to avoid rubbing the fenders just cuts into the actual traction your trying to create with 255s? Is this for track/rally or DD? Cuz, this sounds like a nightmare setup for DD..

And it doesn't even matter to mention these numbers so much, one brand of 235 sidewalls is completely diff than another companies sidewall... so basically after having rolled 150+ cars, you pick what you want and you try to make it work, some stuff works, some don't... But, there's way too many variables involved including: how many passengers you drive with, ride height, stiffness(RSB etc) alignment, even more when you start to think about it, So dont rely on a thread or post, to create your wheel and tire combo, evry time some guy comes by my house for a roll, with an impossible setup to run, he got the info from "some guy on the net" so be careful.
