Just installed an hks drop in filter. I'm not sure if I installed It right. The bottom of the filter housing has a gap. I'm not sure if this good or not. I test drove the car and it seem to run just fine. I'm kind of worried about this gap. If anyone knows how to install it right please respond back. Thanks In advance!

Can you provide pics of it installed?

How about a link to the product?

It could be that it was installed upside down if there is a gap or that it didn't seat fully flush before clamping the lid down.

Here is the link to the product. I took a couple pics but couldn't focus on the gap. I'll keep on trying taking pics. If successful I'll post them. Thanks!

You're not the first person I have heard of with this problem using the HKS filter. I'd have to do some digging to find the other incidents, but this might be worth your contacting HKS.

I was just reading about this today at the other Mitsu forum site and remember seeing your name all over that thread. I'll try to look for it too.
