More pictures of my latest project when I get home. Also in the works is an Evo X turbo swap, a Evo X FMIC swap, and another tune to put it all together.

When the seller gets back to me, I'll let you know. The Bov and FMIC were only $100 each though.

So the goal of this project was to simply get rid of all the chrome trim on the Ralliart; as well as making the center hood scoop black to match the two smaller scoops.

You should have done the whole bottom shroud even with the grill like the evo

I just saw this pic in the Tri-State Mitsubishi group on FB lol your buddy Nicholas Mason posted a pic :D I'm not a fan of the part of the bottom lip being dipped, but I heard it won't be like that for too long ;)

Dip job looks clean though :D

I wanted something different. Plus I'm getting a CF lip if the Evo X turbo deal falls through.

Haha, thanks! Honestly, I couldn't have done it without him. As it turns out, spray painting on a wall and using PlastiDip aren't really the same thing.

Finally picked up my Evo X turbo upgrade. It's missing a few odds and ends, but I picked it up for a great deal. Might be doing a sound deadening application tomorrow too, so if I do then new pictures!

why did you paint the gas lid?

and if you don't get the cf lip you should paint more of the bottom part of the bumper to line up with the nose ring

just my opinion

Well, why not? I wasn't sure about it, but I liked it, so I kept it.

I'm pretty sure I'm just going to take the dip off of the bottom once the lip comes in; but, now that I picked up the new turbo, that might be a while still.

Welcome to the club, better late than never.

You might want to remove the parts when spraying paint on them. IMO.
Looks good. Must of spent a small fortune on masking tape huh? :D

Haha, lucky for me I got to write it off as a business expense! But no need to remove the parts just for PlastiDip; that would only serve to clash with my laziness. :D

That's cool, no biggy I was just wondering. I've painted random parts on my old car cause that part was oxidizing. Like I painted the roof of my old car black cause it was all faded and sun damaged

O nice, I agree: Turbo > Lip
I'd definitely pick a power part over an aesthetic part

I don't think I'd trust myself with painting anything on my car with a rattle can. I'm much more comfortable with forgiving products like PlastiDip and 3M 1080 vinyl.

Definitely! As you saw, I've got the intake and exhaust freed up for a bigger turbo, plus the bigger intercooler as well. I'm assuming I'll need slightly bigger injectors, as well as one step colder spark plugs; but, I'll let my shop figure all of that out.

Nice, lucky... I saw on SoCalEvo a guy selling a bunch of stock evo x turbo parts and I was so tempted...

Also, which gauge pod is that? I saw another person post the same one of Instagram

I definitely did luck out. There was a guy on here selling a full kit, but he would not answer messages for some reason; lucky for me another member was looking to sell his, and I ended up with a sweet deal.

It's the CP-E gauge pod: http://www.cp-e.com/products/mitsubishi-evox/mitsubishi-ralliart-evox-gauge-pod

So far, it's the only pod that fits the RA that doesn't require you to get creative when running wires for the gauges; because drilling through the dash was definitely not happening. Especially for a somewhat low-key look.

Love the intake. It has a definitive stock look to it, which is what I was hoping to go for. My only gripe with it is that I can't hear the BOV like my buddy can with his intake; but, it's a small complaint. I am tuned with it, and it makes a world of difference. From what my tuner tells me, it hasn't even reached its potential since the tiny RA turbo can't handle anymore air flow. Hopefully once the Evo X unit is in, it will get a real workout.

All of this is just waiting to be put in, and taking up space while it's at it! In that pile is a PlastiDip wheel kit (Blaze blue), Prosport gauges, CP-E pod, Evo X intercooler, Evo X turbo swap bits, Viper alarm and Smart Start module, Sickspeed catch can, and likely more that I forgot I ordered, haha.

Do it, you won't be disappointed. The intake with the Turbo XS turbo-back was definitely one of the best modification combinations. It drives like it should have from the factory! Unfortunately my tune is a little rich, so they need to lean it out a bit.

So, since I was going on vacation this week, I decided to bring the RA to my shop to get the Evo X turbo swap knocked out. Unfortunately we ran into problems since the turbo was completely blown; wouldn't even spin an inch. Right now the project is stalled, but they did get some pictures of their work before it got to that point. If any of you are familiar with M.R. Performance and are on their facebook page, then you'll have seen these already.

CP-e triple gauge pod. A lot of people didn't like it, but I think it's the best option right now. Dash mount gets a hole drilled in the dash, or wires visibly ran, and the pillar mount just draws too much attention. Ah well, I like it, haha.

Cool. I was thinking about that, but I couldn't deal with the down time for the core exchange. Besides, if I do have to go the rebuild route for this turbo, it's about the same price as the Rad Lite upgrade; plus I get twin-scroll awesomeness. :D

So, a not so great update. I brought all of my turbo goodies to my shop to put on, and the turbo was seized. The shaft wouldn't spin at all, and I was very put out. As an alternative, I've decided to go with an FP solution. While it may not leave me a lot of untapped potential, I'll at least know I have room to grow once I invest in a transmission upgrade.

My buddy got the new dip nozzles in, so I asked him to help me do my trunk since my vinyl shop wanted almost $400 to do it. Also redid the front lip while we were at it. Here are some pictures:

Been a while since this was updated. My turbo upgrade plans fell through once the unit was about to be installed. The internals were caked with solidified oil (a whole new meaning to no shaft play), and the housing was cracked. I could go on a rant; but I'll leave it at that. Needless to say, it put a bad taste in my mouth. That was only made worse to Forced Performance giving me the run around for months. Call in, they say they'll get right on it, and then nothing for a few weeks. Do the calling process all over again, and get the same result. I understand they're busy, but that was nuts. Anyway, I finally got the turbo from them, and I have to say it's like night and day. Check it out for yourselves though!
