Hey I was just wondering what type of fluid our cars use I don't have owners manual anymore

I looked in the manual and it lists only "genuine mitsubishi power steering fluid", You could probably go to the dealership and ask to see the bottle for specific information.

I did Google it but could only find mitsubishi genuine powersteering fluid was wondering if you could use something like atf

genuine mitsubishi power steering fluid = generic power steering fluid. Any canadian tire will have some.

I need to change it for sure now the little plastic clip that holds the upper return hose from the resivoir broke and got caught on the belt and it shredded it made a huge mess :( ..90$ for a 3 foot price of rubber hose

I used ATF in all my cars power steering system with no problem ever. All the manuals said to use OEM fluids only, what else could they say? Please use fluids that come from anywhere else?? :P

Redline D4 ATF works too.

Yea I got some Mobil 1 synthetic atf I'm gonna use once my new hose gets in

I use Royal Purple synthetic PSF and I have had no problems with it.
