There are some items you will need to start, obvious, but still. Do you have a laptop and Tactrix cable to connect to your OBD II port? Then you will want to download free software, I recommend OpenECU/ECUFlash, to communicate with your ECU. The physical step by step process has been outlined in this thread:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/09-ralliart-engine-turbo-drivetrain/443880-2009-lancer-ralliart-gst-basemap.html

It is a fairly simple process, and you will notice a large gain on your car from stock ECU. Make sure you are using the file that would account for your current mods.

Good Luck.

Online would be your best bet. Craigslist or Ebay you can get them used for very cheap. Other route to go would be to find someone on this forum in your area and see if you can borrow their cable. You might want to post a thread in the proper forum space and see if you get any hits.

So I am having a hard time finding the proper cable, does it just have to be a OBDII cable with a usb port on the other end? or does it have to be by tactrix.

Taxtrix makes the cable, you need OpenPort 2.0 to be compatible with the 4b11t ECU in our engines. No you cannot simply use a OBD II cable with a USB port. The cable brtand new will run you $169.00

I suggest you go on ebay and type in OpenPort 2.0 Tactrix and see what you can find used, the cables are car specific, so people who have sold their cars, will sell the cable cheap too.
