I'd say it depends on where you are. If you are near a reputable tuner, get a custom flash.

You can do a map with or without the OEM filter...but with an aftermarket intake you will get some extra ponies...:D

Cobb also flashes your ECU, just like what AMS or TTP does.
I use an accessport because it's convenient and easy to use. I can change maps/revert back to stock anytime. Takes ~2mins to switch a map.

I think AMS/TTP should be able to give you the map file in a format that can be loaded on an accessport.

Trust me do what "ck1109" said (not only can you do this) ("Cobb also flashes your ECU, just like what AMS or TTP does.

but think of it as a harddrive for tunes basically. The reason why u would want this is because it will save you problems in the long run. Lets say u tune in the winter, when its obviously cold, since you think your gonna be fine with just one tune, your wrong cause when summer comes your gonna be running rich like hell, and that's not good and if u tune in the summer you'll run like shit in winter.. so u best buy an access port, it'll save your maps so u can change on the fly also they include, other great features on them like valet, Basically doesn't let the car go over 2500 rpm, theft mode, which doesn't let it start at all since it doesn't let the revs reach over 500 rpms and economy mode which doesn't let u go over 3000 Rpms.. Also the best thing is you don't have to go to a shop to get tuned since its a plug and play, and u can just download maps for your vehicle, so u can have many different maps for not a lot of cash basically it'll cost $600, but that's cheap since u don't have to keep paying 550-600 on tunes, u can just download them.. Hope this helps on your decision making, tuning at a garage gets expensive but this is a better solution and u can have maps ready for winter, summer and anything in between :) :p
