Is it possible to install a sub while using the factory CD player?
I don't have the RF head unit.

Yes.
You can either use a speaker wire to RCA converter, an amp that will take speaker input, or a powered sub with speaker input.
Then tap the speaker output at the head unit, preferably the rear speaker outputs.
Tap, solder, electrical tape.
Use an amp and sub, or powered sub.
Don't run a sub straight off a deck.

Great guys. This is exactly what I needed.
Have an amp and sub from one of my previous cars that needs a home.

This is all in reference to an aftermarket sub correct?

I have a '10 with the single disc player and no factory sub, all I want to do is install a factory sub in the rear. If I can source one, would it be all plug and play or is there no wiring there on a car that was'nt originally equipped?
