maintenance schedule

just wonderin'. i just realized (duhh), that my car is on a severe maintenance schedule, i.e. every 3,000 miles. is it because of the turbo? i've had 3 other cars before (all hondas) and my wife had 2 (a ridgeline and a tucson) and all of them were on just the regular maintenance schedule. and i still live in the upper midwest where it's nice and snowy for 10 months in a year. thanks in advance for your info.

Not because of the turbo. Severe means your environment puts unusual strain on the engine. Check the manual, it defines "severe" properly.

I just figured once you start modding the vehicle it automatically jumps into the 'severe' scheduling.
