i am in the market to lower my RA with a set of springs (coilovers are too expensive at the moment) and i dont know whether to go with the tein s set, or the eibach sportlines. on the web it says that the teins lower the car up to 2.5 inches, and the eibachs lower it 1.6 - 1.7, and i have seen pics with eibachs and they appear really low, so i dont know whether the teins are too low or not. if anyone has any expirience with either, let me know what you think is a better set, and post pics of your ride so i can see how low they are. thanks :)

I have the pro-kit and still hit the bump stops on harsh bumps... Seeing that the sportline springs are even lower, well, I dunno...

Hey Ralliart23-

Have you considered the WORKS ride springs? They lower the ralliart 30mm (1.2") which will not sacrifice comfort or ride quality. It's what WORKS has found to be the best height taking into consideration the factory shock damping, travel, and bumpstops. Check out our website for more info and please let me know if you have any questions! :)

yeah i really looked at it just now, and i agree, 2.5 is way too much, i havent really heard much about the works springs, so i guess its either the pro kit, sportline, and ill look into these works springs.

this is the drop with the eibach PRO kit.

it is only about 1 inch all around.

i do not hit bump stops.

ride is good for a DD. slightly stiffer than stock.

blackbeast.....

......check the part number stamped on your front springs.

....you may have "accidentally" received GTS springs.

They actually sent Muellerized the wrong springs the first time around, delaying my install. Fortunately they caught it before installing. When I mentioned I hit the bump stops, its over really, really bad bumps. I also have paint transfer on part of the rear dampers that John pointed out last time my car was on his lift. He said that is indicative of hitting bump stops.

yeah those rpm's are nice, ive never seen them before. i think im only going to go with the pro kit from eibach though, bumps seem harsh as is with stock springs, and i cant imagine how it would be lowering the car more than 1.2, 1.3. is there enough clearance with the pro kits for speed bumps and stuff like that, scraping my front bumber is my biggest fear

I hit the bump stops
This is why hack-saws were invented.

I can get over 96% of speed bumps without scraping. The nose if fine on speed bumps, there is an exhaust pipe or something underneath that scrapes on the really monstrous bumps. Its driveways that are the real killer. So far the face of my nose has gone unscathed, but the under side of my nose is not looking so good. Then again, no one sees that unless its up on a lift...

Do you think camber kits are going to be needed. with either of the drop springs,

does lowering make a HUGE difference to handling or is it more cosmetic?
