aem truboost questions??

Hey guys I recently put an aem truboost controller on my car and unplugged the stock boost controller, it threw the check engine but then went back off. My problem is isthat the car surges, when it hits about 12-13 psi it kicks back down to 9psi... what can i do to fix? tune it?

Have you set the "crack spring pressure" level properly? This along with proper hose routing is key to making this EBC work properly. I have used many of these and they work great when setup proper.

I am not sure a buddy has done all the work on it to this point, this is my first import and turbo so i dont know anything about this stuff! how do you set that?

In the instruction manual there is a setup section that explains this. You need to set the crack pressure to the minimum base boost of the vehicle. This will allow the controller to smoothly assume boost control.
