I would go with AMS Bigger IC.
They made claim to hold 650WHP + 50psi tested.
Unless your aiming to build 650+whp Ralliart ...

ETS 3.5" core for $595 is another option.

I'd go with the AMS over the UR though.

And dont overlook that the stock EVO X FMIC can deal with more flow (torque and HP) than your stock clutches can deal with. Even with a EVO X turbo upgrade the stock EVO X FMIC will more than handle 300 ft pbs of torque and 330ish whp.

And dont overlook airflow to the FMIC. Any of the taller EVO X FMICs need airflow across them to work to their potential. The EVO Xs have cutouts in the bumper beam. The RalliArt has the bumper blocking airflow to the top half of the tall EVO X FMICs.

with that said any upgraded FMIC is "some what pointless" unless you modify the RA bumper?

Not entirely. The larger intercooler can soak up more heat. Some air flow will make it up there. But I think an EVO X aftermarket biggee intercooler is a waste of money on a stock turbo RalliArt.

The stock X FMIC seems to be a great match for the stock turbo, works just fine with out bumper air flow mods. Could work better with bumper air flow mods.

To get your full value from an EVO X aftermarket biggee FMIC you would need an X turbo and some more air flow.

I'd spend the money on more tranny cooling and an engine oil cooler first myself. _Especially_ with a turbo upgrade.

RA has tranny cooler already unless you drive very hard upgrading is recommended but not that necessary.
Oil Cooler is something RA lack of (idk about EVO X MR) EVO X GSR haz one in front of the Right Front wheel sitting inside the bumper. In-place of the Oil Cooler our RA is fitted with windshield wiper fluid & container/bottle (which need to be relocated maybe swapped to smaller one) to fit oem or aftermarket EVO X Oil Cooler.
EVO X engine bay get extremely hot!!!

I am assuming that if you need an upgraded aftermarket EVO X intercooler, you got it because you will be driving hard :-)

The stock RA fmic's cooling pretty much goes out the window once you start having any fun with the car, meaning just with a tune and elevated boost.

Here are datalogs of the stock FMIC vs a Aftermarket FMIC. I would imagine even just upgrading to the stock Evo 10 FMIC (like Mike@RRE stated) would show a huge difference in intake manifold temps as well.

This wasn't even on a warm day either. ;)

The above data was taken with a 100% factory stock bumper

if you got the money for it or FMIC already why not? Go for it.
You can leave the bumper alone or can always cut it in the future.

YAY for you! Good Luck!

whats a better mod for hp?

oppose to what?
IF you're asking about out of the two FMIC (AMS or UR)? AMS.

I have stock EVO X FMIC (still sitting in the garage) *sigh*...
Stock Evo X FMIC will be more than enough for Stock RA turbo.
