View Full Version : Tire pressure monitoring system

i just got new rims and didnt switch over the tire pressure modules, and now i have to deal with the light that comes on my dash, and the warning message on the screen. is there a way to get rid of this, dealership maybe??

Unfortunately, the dealer can't turn it off. Best way is to actually transfer them over.

There is a ghetto fix but it has not worked for some people.

go order some TPMS from any tire place.
I know costco got them too.
or take your existing TMPS put them on the new Wheels.

I will probably be giving this a shot in the next month or so once I get mine off the stock wheels. I'll try and remember to post back on whether this worked or not.

The "putting your 4 tpms in a can" and filling it up to 35 psi DOES NOT work on our car guys

I just let that little light keep me company on my winter drives to and from work. Soon enough the stocks will be back on.

the only reason it doesn't work is because our tpms sensors use the pressure differential between the tip outside the wheel and the main sensor body inside the tire...if you want to make a pressure canister just drill 4 holes and have all the sensors showing instead of only one and the rest being just crammed inside
