....or does it seem a bit "cheap" that our RAs' do not have a light in the glove box ?

I don't know of any Mitsubishi that has one actually.

my 2007 outlander has a glove-box light.

i will most likely buy that mitsu part and install in the RA.

i will first find out for sure whether the evo has one or not.
.........that would probably be an easier install.

no need to buy the lights from Mitsubishi as it would cost alot and there could be fitment issue. Just pick up some LED strips from eBay and pick up some sort of switch from RadioShack and find a way to tap into a 12V source.
