The Lancer Sportback Ralliart and it's regular, un-Ralliarted brother are still a week away from their official debut at the Paris Motor Show, however that hasn't stopped Mitsubishi from unleashing a slew of images of the attractive and sprightly 5-door ahead of the launch.

we already have it here in Aus.. looks ok front and back but from side view it looks terrible.

It's a personal taste thing. I prefer the sedan myself.

I personally don't like 5 door designs so I'm happy with my Ralliart sedan. Looking past the 5-door styling though, I really dislike the taillight design on the sportback. They seem very generic and boring compared to the taillights on the sedan.

It looks a little weird but it is so much more functional. You can actually go shopping and bring home what you bought.

Saw a black RA sportback and another base sportback (forgot color) at Scarobough Mitsu (Toronto area) today. Still prefer the clean lines of the sedan better...each to their own:)

They should of made it more of a coupe, like Acura RSX with back window and trunk one piece, would look much better and bigger trunk space.

^^ i agree with you. The car looks like it should be two doors if you look at the front end. I think it would look pretty bad ass

I would like to see one also! Dump the current Eclipse and make a 2-door Lancer the replacement. Killer turbo engines that are more like the first gen Eclipes that everyone loved!

the sportback ralliart was a beauty, less radical than the evo $$$$$ and more useful, i would have one in my garage NOW!! had they a REAL manual! MITSU's loss!! i was looking for a different fun ride, although not really needing NEW, to get the rotor glow sportback with no other options i would have bought NEW, i found a beautiful black 2001 TT roadster with quattro of course, one FWD was ENOUGH! 225 hp stock, now chipped, easy download, exhaust and intake = 275 hp and torque, torque coming early, a fun car, oh 37xxx orig carfax miles, its almost NEW!!! though i would have preferred a ralliart sportback with a manual, spending close to $30,000 and not getting what I wanted, i DO NOT think so, i will continue to follow the ralliart because i love ALL fun cars!!
