How is the ralliArt emblem attached to the grill? Can it just 'pop off' from the front, or is it fastened from the back?

Fastened with two screws if I remember correctly.

The whole emblem can be removed from inside of the front bumper it held together by two crews or you can lift the emblem off by prying the emblem, it has adhesive back.. :)
