View Full Version : Lack of members

I like this site because it's dedicated to the new Ralliarts. The Tiburon forum (newtiburon.com) that I often visit has grown so big over the years and you can find any and I do mean any info on the car (or general car knowledge) on that website. I don't understand why we only have 67 members. I know there are alot of owners out there but they seem to frequent evolutionm.net more often. Other sites like 9Glancers are also every quiet. I've added the link to clubralliart.com to my signatures on evolutionm.net and newtiburon.com hoping to attract more people to post here. Hopefully you guys would do the same because the lack of sub-forums for the Ralliart section over at evolutionm.net is kinda lame. Thanks

Great idea. I will do the same!
I think this site has a lot of potential because it can also be a home for ralliart parts, older ralliart models, ralliart motorsports, clothing, etc. I hope the admins decide to add sections for these as well.

We have a lot of people that visit this site to read the news, but they don't post here...what gives? I'm confused. Keep posting here Heliart because people posting leads to more people posting. While you are at it start a few new topics to dicuss. I'll keep updating the front page with all the Ralliart news I can find.

Ha, I created a duplicate thread over at evolutionm.net about the water dripping onto the engine bay, but I posted a link directing people to the thread here and I might've contributed to the joining of 5 new members!

Much appreciated! I did notice a surge in new members and they seem to be posting. That's all it will take to be a great site is members posting, I'll keep the front page fresh unlike EvoM, which hasn't updated since it was sold.

I know I joined because of the post. I think that one part that keeps people from coming here so much is because this doesn't really show up on google when you search for ralliart forum. It's not in the 1st five pages of results. I went ahead and added it to my results. Maybe if enough people do that it will get bumped up. Link is at the bottom of the search results page.
I'm going to add this site to my sig at evolutionm.net too.

One of the reason might also be because on the number of ralliart on the road. 09 are still really new on the market.
My local mitsubishi dealer did not even receive his 1st 09 ralliart yet!
And previous version were not sold so much either. But since the new RA is a great alternative to the EVO, I'm pretty sure the community will grown fast in the future.

totally, I gave up on a dying evo for it. Was qualified for evo X, but did'nt wanna pay that much more a month w/ same expensive insurance. This makes for a better DD also.
I just found this site and just registered. I bought 09 GG Lancer Ralliart new two weeks ago.

yea, i think this site just needs a little exposure. i typed in the web address by chance, since i'm already a member of clubrsx.com. by luck, there was an actual club ralliart. i think this site has great potential, however, since it's so focused on just the RA. i think overtime, as more RA are sold, more members will find they're way here. :)

i was there ... but honestly man it was a socal evo meet ... it was not a meet put on by club ralliart ... unless this site is owned by socal evo and south coast mitsu it was not a meet put on by club ralliart
the only other ralliarts i saw there were the two that were raffled and the ones that were being run on the track

At duel meets, the Evos will always outnumber the Ralliart's. Heck, they got a 6 year start in production, so there are more of them. But I disagree with you on the point that it was entirely an Evo meet.
Were both clubs represented on the banner ads for the event? Yes!
Did Mitsubishi Super Stores build an Evo specifically for this event? No, but they commisioned 3 Ralliarts to be built by three different tuners.
Did they give away an Evo? No, they gave away 2 Ralliarts.
So even though there were a lot more Evos, it was a duel meet and the focus was on Ralliart. Mitsubishi even brought out the new Sportback Ralliart to the event!
Just wondering who did win those 2 Ralliart?
^^so We'll have two more new members here soon.? lol.
Im sure once this economy BS is over, we'll see a lot more. and once gas prices go down again.

im not saying what you say is wrong but let me say this ...
the sign up for this event was on socalevo.net, the flyer says its a socalevo.net event in conjunction with south coast mitsubishi,
now if this was an event PUT ON BY CLUB RALLIART it would have been on this site, the sign ups would have been here on this site, and club ralliart would have been on the flyer.
Im not saying it wasnt a RALLIART event, but seriously how many people that went can say " Hey i heard about that event through CLUBRALLIART.com" i think the answer would be pretty close to zero.
so until this site actually puts an event together by itself there is not an official CLUBRALLIART meet in my opinion.
p.s. This ralliart is not the 1st generation of RA, theres 04-09 models of the RA out there.

You must have missed the baaner ad that was on this site for a month prior to the event. I pulled it down the Tuesday after the event because it was taking bandwidth and no longer valid. If you want I can put it back up...
The banner ad for the event on this site did have ClubRalliart listed on it as well as SoCalEvo, but it was a duel event. The event sponsor was Mitsubishi Super Stores which sells both. The giveaway cars were not Lancer Evolutions, but Lancer Ralliarts! So how can you say this was NOT a ClubRalliart.com event?
I imagine that the Ralliarts that went found out from this site. I only saw a few there but we don't have that many members and many are not from this area. So until we get larger, we won't have a RA only event. It's just logistics.
I am very well aware of the earlier RA's and have invited any and all RA's to this site. Heck, I wrote the review for the original way back in 2004 for Motor Trend magazine so I spent plenty of time in the original and like them also. And better yet, I respect them.
So you are entitled to your opinion as am I. I hope you stick around.

I never saw clubralliart advertised anywhere, and that was my point to help get more members it needs to be advertised, im not saying i dont wana be apart of this club, im just trying to bring up a point as to why the name CLUBRALLIART itself as a whole was not really advertised as much it can be, You yourself say it was an event sponsored by south coast, therefore it pretty much was a south coast mitsu meet when it comes down to it.
I didnt think you knew about the past RA's because you kept saying how "Evo's have more production years behind them", hell there are more Evos out there because, well, Evo's are badass !! lol Thats cool you wrote a review for motortrend, i wanted an RA sooo bad but i got a freakin OZ. so im stoked that theres a ClubRalliart and I get to be apart of it.
Its my opinion that we should make a big CLUBRALLIART MEET ourselves in order to get this club bigger. I know its not an easy task but im just saying that it would be more Official that way rather than doing a duel meet. You get me ??

Sam at SCM told me personally the whole point of the event at El Torro was to promote the new RA. While that may have been the point of the event, I did not find out about ClubRalliart until after buying my RA. I did not see any banner at the El Torro event for ClubRalliart. I might have missed it though due to all the eye candy EVO's everywhere - in other words I was a little distracted. I found ClubRalliart because they have closed the forum on SoCalEvo and directing all future posts here. However, the event is probably doing what it was supposed to - getting more people interested in the RA and to give it a chance. The more that buy an RA the more that will likely find this site. That being said, I have a couple suggestions to help grow this site more.
-SoCalEvo has sweet stickers for your car. That promotes it. Get some sweet stickers made for ClubRalliart and I'll slap those on my RA and strip the SoCalEvo ones on there currently. I would even donate 5 bucks for 2 stickers if funding is an issue at this point.
-Start holding RA only events in conjunction with SCM. Advertise them only on here and not SoCalEvo to limit the number of Evos that show up.
-Get evoM to close their portion of their website that caters to the RA and direct all posts to here. I don't know how likely that is to happen though as it would seem this site is a spin off from socalevo.
-Get this to become the "Official Ralliart Community" instead of the "UnOfficial Ralliart Community". Why is this UnOfficial anyways? If it can't be Official then I'd like to know why.
-Get SCM (and other SoCal mitsu super stores) to hand out stickers or flyers or something with every new RA sold pimping ClubRalliart.
I hope these ideas are feasible and help generate more traffic! I hope to post more on this site but more lately than in the past my job prevents me from posting frequently on forums. I'll try and do what I can though!

Good idea, I'll get working on this!

We have tried to have RA only events, there are just not enough of us yet, but it will happen as our numbers grow. We will keep trying until we get enough interest to make this happen.
-Get evoM to close their portion of their website that caters to the RA and direct all posts to here. I don't know how likely that is to happen though as it would seem this site is a spin off from socalevo.
That won't happen as they are owned by another a company that is basically our competition. I strongly believe that we provide a better venue for the Ralliart. Maybe not as many people posting here, but that is up to the members to do that. I can't start every thread. It's about the car, not me. I provide the front page news/updates to keep this site fresh and up to date. I hope that is what will keep the members coming back. I encourage all of the members to post...this is your site, a site dedicated to one vehicle, the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, period! And let me add, that this is for all years of Lancer Ralliarts, not just the new ones!
-Get this to become the "Official Ralliart Community" instead of the "UnOfficial Ralliart Community". Why is this UnOfficial anyways? If it can't be Official then I'd like to know why.
We have officially been recognized by Mitsubishi Motors, North America (MMNA) and they have offered their full support. That being said, the only way for this or any other site to be "official" would be for MMNA to own it but this site is privately owned by enthusiasts of the Ralliart!
-Get SCM (and other SoCal mitsu super stores) to hand out stickers or flyers or something with every new RA sold pimping ClubRalliart.
Once we have stickers made I will do this, great idea!
I hope these ideas are feasible and help generate more traffic! I hope to post more on this site but more lately than in the past my job prevents me from posting frequently on forums. I'll try and do what I can though!
Thanks for the ideas. All ideas are welcome as sometimes even the obvious is overlooked. Thanks again...

Sweet!!! I should have put this in my original post, any chance for white only and/or black only stickers? I like low key if possible but if color is the only option then that is understandable. Also, the stickers need to/should fit within the smallest window (at the bottom of it) on the rear passenger side doors (like the SoCalEvo stickers do). Okay, now I'm getting picky.
Thanks for looking at the ideas I put out there. I sympathize with some of the limitations you listed.

The sticker design will be the logo as seen above and will likely be available in several colors. Yes, they should fit the window area just like the SoCalEvo ones.
Really only one limitation and that is from EvoM, but I'll just keep trying to make this site better for you guys and gals (I'm not sure if we have any female members/owners but I'm sure we will).
Don't worry the meets will come. We are growing larger every day that more of RA's are sold.

Did somebody say RA party? Why is there more threads on RA in other forums than here? ie Evom or whatever. We need to get more topics and posts. Get those lost RA owners and direct them here. Promote!
