Calling all local (SoCal) Ralliarts
I don't know how many of you are here, but I would like to find out how many from here are still active, even if you are just lurking.
With the Evo riding off to the sunset at the end of 2015, the RA will be the standard torch bearer of the Evo's legacy until a new one rolls out of Japan. It is my hope that more RA owners would be as active as Evo owners - after all, the Evo X and RA essentially share the same "heart", and the RA does ride on a redeployment of the previous Evo IX's drivetrain. If we get enough responses here, we will host a get together of some sorts. Snacks and drinks will be provided depending on the number of RA's that come. The date is TBD at the moment and dependent on the people that show up. Anyways, hope to meet some of you out there soon! |
im willing to meet up with other fellow RA owners
|
I'm late!
Late to the Party. I just joined today actually. I live on the east cost (Prince Edward Island, Canada). I just bought my car not too long ago and since then have modified it non-stop to this day.
|
no worries! welcome!
|
Are you implying that they will create 2016/2017/2018 Ralliarts and not Evo's?
|
The Evo is discontinued while the RA is still in production. So at least for the next model year (2016), yes, Mitsubishi is building Ralliarts but not Evos.
|
To bad for the Evo guys but YEA! for RA!!:p

Any proof? |

The Ralliart is back on their website as the top trim for the Lancer. The Evo has its own product page. For sure the Evo will be discontinued. My contact at Mitsubishi says there are no immediate plans to kill off the RA so unless something changes this year, the RA will be the top performance model for Mitsubishi. |
I'd suggest a combination meet with the lancer forums. If only to make the attendance numbers worthwhile.

Good question
I have a 2015 RA and searched for an East Coast group, but found out that the group was a few years old. I guess I'm trying to see if the site is still active.
|
it still is, just not a lot post because nearly everyone use facebook

Yeah FB has killed lots of forums, we get used for info and research now... Too bad, these kinds of forums can be a lifesaver...
|
personally all the FB groups chopped up all the larger forums, and i hate it. i dont want to tie my personal stuff with other public stuff. plus, you got bonehead people trying to run the show even though they arent even legit *groups* that could cut it in an actual meet.
i swear i got like 4 calls from MMNA/Mitsubishi corporate asking if so and so local evo/ralliart group is associated with socalevo/clubralliart and I am like no. they were trying to pawn themselves so as to get a spot in the vendor area for MOD2016. buncha chumps if you ask me. |
Im a so local. 2015 RA located in Victorville, ca. I registered ahwile ago but i've been lurking and havn't posted too much, just been doing "research"
