Dreaded 4wd system service required
as the title says got the dreaded 4wd service required light the past few days. Came on saturday but then after the car sat for a few hours it went away for two days. Well came back on today, went to the dealership said its most likely the ACD pump 2800$$ to fix b/c my mitsu warrenty expired July 17th i mean really damn 3 year bumper to bumper. But I do have an extended warrenty thats 5 year 60k bumper to bumper so it should be replaced under that just have to take the paperwork in friday when for my appt.

isn't ACD considered drivetrain and 5yrs/50,000mi?
|
Yeah, I've had some serious questions about certain warranty applications myself, I mean is our tranny considered a manual or auto? For warranty purposes, usually clutches are never covered, but our clutches are run semi auto. Soo? Can they just deny anything, based on the paddles or what? Newer high tec cars, are so much fun.

Car has 32k on it and the reason the pump went is they said corrosion from salt on the roads they have had replaced alot I guess and they're supposed mitsu hasn't done anything to fix the problem yet and it dosnt fall under drive train bc it's not a necessary item it's a luxury item since the drive train still works without it just can't switch between snow Tarmac gravel setting

Wow ok that sucks but its good to know.
|
Yea it does suck I guess they usually go around 35-40k mile range so keep and eye out if yours does little ass pump cost more then the engine prolly

If dealer will deny the warranty work contact acd-tuning.com
|
I'm pretty sure they're not gonna deny my extended warranty bc it's not through mitsu but I did check out acd and I didn't see anything for ralliarts just evos and there acd pump is different then ours

I read somewhere (I think on EvolutionM) about somebody having their pump redone for I think $800. If I find it I will let you know.
