Serpentine Belt Help?

1 Attachment(s)
I'm trying to replace my serpentine belt but cannot figure out the auto tensioner. I found the attached instructions in the repair manual but they don't make sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This board used to be a great resource for Ralliart owners, and I frequented it often because I learned a lot about my car..Not so much any more. I thought there would be at least one response to my post.

Instead of just complaining, I'll try and contribute. For anyone in the future that needs to replace the belt, you'll need to do the following:

1. Remove passenger side tire and splash guard.
2. Use a 16 mm open-ended wrench and breaker bar to turn the auto-tensioner counter-clockwise (see attachment) while having a helper pull the belt off one of the pulleys. The easiest pulley to get to is the one on the top of the engine towards the front of the vehicle.
3. Route new belt and turn auto-tensioner bolt ccw to allow you slack to pull the belt over all pulleys. Good luck!

I've had to replace the belt a couple of times a couple of years ago, my advice is to get an extra long box wrench for moving the auto tensioner. The crowsfoot socket didn't work for me from the top, I ended up using a couple of wrenches locked together to get the length but they'd slip and it was a pain.
