I'm probably not going to do this now. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to do any major audio work in this car, I'd rather spend the money on the performance of the car instead. I'll probably end up getting the same Infinity amplified sub that I got my gf for her birthday over the summer, about 200w and it sounds good. More than what I need for everyday use.

I'll probably invest in a small battery to take a few pounds off the front end. Need to do some research on them first.

Now, if I had a different vehicle that wasn't performance-oriented, such as an Outlander or GTS, then I'd build a nice audio system.

Question... why is it mounted as such to where you have remove the tail light to access the manual control?

Any shots of a battery relocate kit in a car with factory sub-woofer?

I'm thinking of this, or a smaller battery to lighten up the front end, but my only concern with that is cold weather starting. At work I have to park in an open lot w/o coverage.

There are more weight in the rear left of the trunk especially with the sub you got back there. Plus it would be better weight distribution if you put it either center or right side (opposite from the sub woofer)

Here is a reference for corner balance & weight distribution info.

I agree 100% on what your saying on weight distribution.

I was just looking for a pic from a car with similarly equipped as mine. Trying to see how much trunk space would still remain free.

couple reasons actually
*hell yes because racecar lol
*i didnt want anyone to know there was a cutoff switch
*nhra requires it to be in a easily accessable location on the back of your car. and i didnt want it to be all hanging off the bumper or anything
*i dont want anyone to be able to turn it to off and then me sit there and wonder why the hell wont my car start
*and last, if i go on vacation i can turn it to off and lock my car up so people cant steal it. cause more than likely they will have no clue why it cant be hotwired.
*also to remove the taillight is only like 2 small screws so its not really a big deal cause i always have tools in the back
