EF2 and a quick spool, the SST's don't like that. Sure if you have a X GSR no problem. But you have to realize that the SST doesn't like early TQ. That's also what will kill a block.

An EF4 will spool few hundred RPM's later than a EF2 however, the EF3 dominates it throughout everything else. A Good tuner can downplay the EF3 powerband to compensate for the SST.

You can do the same for the EF2 but for what? The cheapest and safer route to achieve the same power level desired based on OP can be done with a Evo X turbo... You can step up and even get everything ported.

The EF3 actually has a bigger lag " i.e. bigger Turbo" and puts out power that might be a little much for a stock trans and engine. so unless you spent big dollars beefying up your transmission and rebuilding your engine, you might want to stay with an EF2.

I would like to know what else you heard?
Interesting info. I just pass on the info I hear and share it with all of yall to see other people opinions

The exact reason why I will go with just x turbo swap and be done with it. I do want to see more RA's with either EF2's or EF3's setup and see how they perform with day to day driving etc.

AlphaKennyBody is right, most of it comes down to the experience of the tuner. You need to find out if the tuner knows our cars and what picky bitches they can be. If I went with an EF3, the temptation to really push it would probably be too great and I would have fun for a few short weeks until I blew it up. LOL!

I did not want to go the run of the mill Evo X turbo swap which yes would be the cheapest. I'm only doing this once so I wanted a turbo that would provide an early near stock type spool like our little single scroll turbo at a lower RPM, but not produce so much torque I would put my transmission at risk or put a hole in my engine block.
I trust the guys at MAP and I am looking forward to working with them on this project.

Well your going to have to wait till June of next year then.
I am looking forward to owning a 12 second daily driver. LOL!

I've met 2 people rocking the EF2s in their Ralliarts. The torque is downplayed and horsepower can be maxed out.

They can daily these cars as well.

Seems to me EF2/EF3 turbos are over priced (IMO)
