Thanks to all that agreed with the idea for a Canadian forum. This is great!

Maybe we can get some sticky threads going for regional meets & drives.

Im for driving up to 1500km for a yearly meet, we should change the location each year andalso look at some regoinal or provincial meets. Most of the people I have seen driving new Ralliarts in Manitoba are young guns almost 20 yrs my junior and with an attention span of "look hot babe gotta go" kind of thing so. I guess we will have to build from the ground up.

I hear you, and know exactly what you are talking about.

There are regular Mitsu gatherings in my area, but they appear for the 20-something crowd, especially from what I have posted on EvoM. Definitely not my cup of tea.

I have put together gatherings for other makes of cars in the past, and it did help that it was a mature crowd. A road trip with moving location year to year is a great idea. Easier sell to the lady-folk as well as a week/weekend getaway.

Hopefully we can put something like that together.

Just a bump for this thread as I want to make sure any new Canadian Ralliart owners to realize we now have our own thread and wanted to find out if anyone was interested in doing a National meet next year . I was thinking like July 2013 and for the 1st year I think it would be fitting to call it East Meets West and have it here in the Center of Canada here in Winnipeg.

And yes before I get flamed Yes everyone is invited no matter where you live. It would be nice to have a whole wack of American cars show up and who knows we might get an off continent surprise LOL !. Remember Winnipeg is just over an hour north of the border so it's not that far and conveniently located in the center of the continent.LOL!

I think with over a year to plan I could pull this off as far as getting a place for the event and getting a huge discount at a local hotel, taking a quick drive out to the local track to actually do either 1/4 mile or road race event depending on the week end.
Add to it if we can time it right and make a few phone calls to have it when the Driven car show was in town would be icing on the cake.

I am willing to make this work but in the end it would come down to how many people would commit to this as I would love to video the whole event and Utube it later to get the momentum going.
