I heard that Goodyear belts are the beast in the market. I had one on my Dakota truck for 60k miles w/o any problems. Just make sure that you have the right length.

I just hit 30K miles as well....but upon inspection of the belt it is in super pristine condition. Probably because of the CA weather. Do I still need to replace it? I was planning on waiting until i hit around 45K miles. What are your thoughts?

I would do it just to stay in compliance with service manual and warranty especially since you just hit 30k I'm assuming you still have a warranty. And I would do it just for peace of mind and it's not that expensive at all.

Not entirely true. Only some older models were effected by the recall. And they only check to see if it's worn. If it is they replace it, if not they go about their business.
