i did almost the same thing on the install but instead of taping into the lower wire. I just built two sets of wire so i did not mess with factory harness.
(red set is power split, black is ground)

Sweet! Just used this tutorial today! instead of bending the bracket, i just mounted them straight on to the 2 outside bolts on the bumper mount in the center:



This means they're angled a little bit upwards (instead of pointing directly forward), but as an added bonus you don't have to cut out the bottom of the weather shield to make it fit. Still looks good when back behind the grill though (sorry, crappy pic):



Wish I would have scrolled to page 2 before installing, you have a pretty elegant wiring solution there sparkfndr. I just ended up cutting the wire and extending it back to the middle instead of cutting all the ties.

Default Sorry for bumping an old/dead thread

Sorry for bumping this up, but Im really interested in how you did those LED lights in the front bumper, I had a couple of ideas how but I'd like to know how you did it, it looks super clean and well done
