Haha You've got to pay to play! Shouldn't be their responsibility to fix my car if i'm pushing it as hard as I can. Although I still cant get over the fact my chain stretched. Very weird. I've talked to a lot of evo owners who are pushing 500hp even higher with no problem. How is my little rally with all its 250ish or whatever its cranking out stretch a chain?

That is my point. Horsepower and torque dont stretch timing chains. In reality it is probably just a glitch in the way the ECU is measuring it. Or just a bad chain. The ECU looks at where the two cam sensors are at in relation to eachother and remembers a point of reference. Then if the cams rotate away from eachother past a given amount, thenthe ECU figgers the chain is stretched and warns you. I am sure it is prone to error.

I had the same issue! but my ECU was not tuned.. they replaced everything under warranty.

When i get a second ill look through to my paperwork to see if the invoice details what was replaced.

Does the RA have its own service manual? or is it shared with the EVO X?
Can anyone tell me where I might find it?

Thanks

As far as mitsubishi is concerned it is a Lancer. The RA service manual is in the lancer category. you can always find that through the dealer. they come on a cd and are way over priced. Mitsubishi parts guys and techs have access to these. if you find the right guy he can email or print you what you need.

Take away the engine and transmission it is just a lancer. Same suspension, body structurally speaking and does not even share the current model AWD system. I am not saying i don't agree with you. I am just saying as far as mitsu is concerened it is a souped up lancer. Not a detuned Evo. Look at your owners manual or go build your self a ralliart on www.Mitsubishicars.com The lancer ralliart is a trim of the lancer. the Evo has its own category

I was hoping not to have to travel to my local dealer, then ask for a print out of a certain page. I have the EVO X manual, I would prefer just the manual for the Lancer then.
